It seems like the last few times I have been out at the refuge I have seen less and less of hawks and Eagles so I have been photographing the smaller birds, something I haven't done in a while. Now that I have been looking for the smaller birds at the refuge I have noticed there are a lot of different types that have been hanging around their lately. I am looking for some help on the identification of this little guy I posted today. I have looked in the bird book that I have and the closest that I could come to in my guess is a immature male red-winged blackbird. I was quite surprised to see how they change into the red-winged blackbird I am used to seeing. If my guess is right. So if any of you have any suggestions on the identification I would appreciate it. Thanks for looking ( I posted another picture in the work shop. That shows some red in the wing.) |
