Hi all,
This is a picture from April. This is Indian roller shot at Hessarghatta lake near Bangalore. This was shot using car as a "Hide". From my experience car is a very good hide as long as you know hoe to approach the bird! What we typically do is spot the bird using our binoculars and plan on our approach. Once the approach is planned we take our car near to the bird in stages, i.e, stop and proceed at various distances and get to know the comfort level of the bird and as well as make it comfortable to the car.Once we reach optimum distance we make sure there is little movement inside the car and shoot

PS. Pop ur lenses out well in advance so the bird does not get scared :-). Bean bag helps :-)

Note. Murali and Satish are experts in this and they are welcome to add more into this subject of shooting birds from the car :-)

Hope you ppl like it

I used curves for extra contrast and cropped the mound, making the bird little bolder, which you may like.
