See You in September (28)

Hi Everyone, today I offer another view of the cute little silver fox that I have become rather fond of.This young fox is the star of my fox show this year and the others are also very much liked by me.I would love to see this silver fox kit as an adult as what few photos I have seen of adults show a very striking silver coat on a black under coat which is slowly being covered by white guard hairs on this kit.Silver foxes account for about 2% of the red fox population so as a result are seldom seen.I have two more views of this little beauty in the workshop.About the title given,I have found it so very hard to find the time to review your photos and give replies because this time of year is so very busy with wildlife that getting out to photo the wildlife eats up most of my spare time,so today's upload shall be my last one until September, however I'll try to get some reviews in on your photos between now and September.Take care one and all and have a safe, secure summer.

In this shot which is side lit,we see the little fox licking it's nose. This behavior is something I have seen all the foxes do and it is done to keep their noses from drying out and of course clean.Even though they live in dens made of earth and romp and roll about on the ground, foxes are impeccably clean animals as are most wild creatures, the same doesn't hold true for many of our domesticated animals however which is odd to me but I see what I see.I will upload more in September as by then the wildlife will be going south for yet another year and I won't have as many distractions by that time.PP was done with Paint.Net.

In this shot we see the silver fox kit having a yawn and a stretch and just resting in the warm sunlight.PP was done with Paint.Net.
