Everything is relative I suppose... "Life is Good" depends on your point of view. This grizzly bear, who got to sleep through the longest winter in 20 years, and awake to a feast of winter killed animals, was feeling quite good. With a full stomach and the sun finally out he just rolled around and stretched and could not hide his contentment. He was guarding three elk carcasses and life indeed seemed good!

The night before we had researched just where the carcasses were and knew the visibility would be poor due to landscape and vegetation. We got up at 3:00 am and drove to the location and positioned our vehicle so that we could get a good vantage point. See workshop reference photo.

Now that I look at this on TN I see that I could have cropped out the bottom part with the OOF plant... oh well...

This is what we have to do sometimes in order to get an unobstructed view.
