Nesting Time (18)

Had a very early and cold start to this mornings shoot, my wife and I went down to the Port of Brisbane, I had spotted a Osprey nest earlier in the week and was determined to catch something either coming or going.

Now I know this isn’t the best shot of an Osprey but shortly after we arrived and the sun had barely come up over the horizon, and only a short time after I had got my act together, this Osprey came flying across with a long piece of nesting material, (Work Shop Posting), stopped for a few seconds and disappeared again.

There was another Osprey in the nest that would stuck its head up now and again have a brief look around then disappear, so I assumed that this bird was having a Sunday morning lie in, (note to self “Sunday Morning Lie In”).

Now I have posted a Previous Image of an Osprey so please refer to that for details, and I would like to thank the Brisbane Port Security for allowing me to take pictures in that particular area, and my wife for the flask of tea which kept me warm.

Details; Shot Raw in the cold using a tripod and a cable release to cut down on me shivering, converted to Jpeg cropped and resized for posting. I also used a 1.4x Converter and a drop in polariser.
