Hi people. This was taken early morning at Broadbench bay, which is just round the corner from Kimmeridge bay. I was hoping to catch a spectacular sunrise, unfortunately it wasnt to be as the sunrise was almost completely obscured by pesky hills. There was quite a nice hue to the sky though, and it was a lovely peaceful morning so all was not wasted.
I hope you enjoy this photo, i think my skills may be increasing slightly, let me know what you think.

thanks for looking

Ewan

Re-Sharpen, Levels, Dodging, Clone

First of all, the image looked fine with just the re-sharpening, but I also cloned out the rock to the bottom right that was just half sticking into the frame as it felt a little distracting to me, and the couple dust spots in the sky. I then lightened up the midtones just a tad by adjusting the levels, and then just brought out some of the midtones and highlights a tad in the background rocks to bring out a few details in there, hope it works for you!

Some changes

The photo has some wonderful features and I wanted to enhance them even more.

My first step was to clean up some dust/water spots in the sky. My second was to clone out the odd looking stone in the right FG. I then adjusted the highlights in levels so that the photo became brighter. I created several curves adjustment layers to darken and brighten certain spots in the photo. I also created a saturation adjustment layer to saturate the colors of the shell and mountain. I finished with adding more sharpness to the entire photo.
