 Cepaea vindobonensis (14) cataclysta
(5468) | In August I spent few days with my friends on Ponidzie. It is a region in in south-central Poland in the Nida river valley. I have seen some great butteflies including: P. argyrognomon, P. coridon, C. argiades, L. dispar, P. machano, B. dia, A. paphia, A. aglaja and many others. But this time something different. Photo was taken in a Polana Polichno Nature Reserve in a Kozubów Landscape Park. You can see it here.
It is a steppe reserve in a middle of the deciduous forest (polana means clearing). It is also a place where you can find a beautiful beetle - Lucanus cervus.
Here you can see a snail that is quite rare in Poland and present mostly in the south-eastern part (but not in the mountains) and on north-west.
