Well over the last couple of days that pristine environment especially Morton Island has been hit hard.
A ship carrying 50 shipping containers, all of which contained ammonium nitrate and of which 31 were lost overboard in rough weather, and one piecing the hull which released over 650 tonnes of fuel into the Morton Bay aera.
I found this Pelican at the Port of Brisbane this morning trying to preen it self with what appeared to be an oil stain on its chest; we also found what appears to be a deceased Loggerhead Turtle lying on the sand. (w/s) image.
I guess this is just the start of things to come,
