First I will thank all for the nice comments and words of my last post.

Todays post is one of my absolute favorites, the Siberian Jay, Lavskrika.
It’s not so common bird on TN and it’s not so common in reality either.
We were four friends to visit them yesterday, including Micke (tamrock) as you already know.
It normally lives far north in our country but small population live not far from me,
We have to travel around 70km north to find the first group, a small family group with 5 birds. All are ringed because it’s a very unique bird.
As I told before it’s a social bird not shy of people, they will come to you when visit the habitat and if you bribe them with “Falun Sausage” they will pose nicely for you.
It’s a quite bird how flying on very quite wings.
I think I took 500 shot of them, so I have plenty of jobs to do in the weekend.:-)
I hope like the beautiful bird.

Siberian Jays are rather comical birds, fluttering around in the branches of pine trees or hopping about on the ground like overgrown tits. They are often silent and tend to bunch together in small parties so they can be tricky to find, but if you do see them they can be very approachable and will often fly right up to you. They are unmistakable birds about Mistle Thrush-size but with rusty red tails and wing panels.

Hi Gert,

as mentioned i cropped the picture to avoid the space on the right , but in the process the frame became much bolder :-), Adjusted levels and colors a bit.
