I love photographing these guys. In this case I was shooting the female when the male popped. I was on a higher elevation and by the time he came into view only the sky was the backdrop giving it a nice stark background.

Normally i wouldn't use this on a full resolution image, but for effect on this one it is possible.

1. select all the sky with magic wand
2. invert selection and create a feather of 4 points.
3. with showdow highilight, bring in some color.
