i did this on freeware...so you dont have to spend a lot on getting something to pp your shots..
i dont mean this is good but you can see some ...'improvement' in some areas

Curve level (increased contrast), enhanced the level of yellow/red in eyes, darkened blacks, framed pic and posted text.

Hi Marius,
I correct the levels, used Shadows/ Highlight, 5% setting each.
Sharpen the lion with NiK sharpen Pro 25% and blurred the BG slightly.
And finally add just s small dose of saturation.
I hope ypu like it.
