They love to eat coconuts and climb (!) up in the high palm trees to cut them down with their one, very big clow. Picture taken at Bora-Bora, an island in the Iles de la societe, Polynesie francaise. Picture taken through a bus window; it is not easy taking pics of land crabs, as they run down to their holes, if you come close. Scanned from a neg pic and I know the quality is not good. Just wanted to show an interesting animal - a crab living on land and climbing in palm trees! |
