This is a hot of the Cortinas de Yuruaní (Curtains of Yuruani), also known as Arapena Meru, another of the many falls you can find in the Gran Sabana. It seems you can walk behind the water curtain, but we didn't get to do that.

I think by cropping out some of the sky it gives the illusion of a lower point of view and as such adds drama to the falls. It's been a couple of days and I have forgotten but I think I used Levels to get some more saturation and contrast so the image would not be so dominated by mid tone values..the whites are whiter and the darks are darker and the grayed tones have more color saturation.
