Kori Bustard (Ardeotis kori) (4)

The Kori Bustard is the heaviest flying bird (an ostrich weighs more but does not fly). Since flying is an effort for being so heavy, the bird will stay on the ground and walk as much as possible where it can find its most common food more easily: lizards.

They are native to Africa; however, they are poached in many countries making them a threatened bird.
