I was there is more than 20 kilometers of my city, Avaré, in a dirt road photographing the nature and a tree of the field was quite flowery and full of several types of bees. I got to remove this picture of the mamangava, she is very big!

The mamangavas are also known by mamangaba, mangangá, mangava, mangaba, abelhão, bombolini, wasp-of-circumlocution, hornet.

They are big and quite hairy bees lonely or social of size. They belong to several families and the most common goods are Bombus, Eulaema, Centris, Xylocopa and Epicharis. Most is black and it yellows and when they fly emit a high buzzing. The mamangavas are important polinizadoras and they contribute to the maintenance of a lot of species of native plants.

The mamangavas rarely prick, unless we hold them with the hands. In spite of they have the size led healthy extremely docile, making possible that we observe collecting them the nectar and pollen of the flowers.

Their nests are found in the soil or in hollows of trees and in some times of the year the mamangavas are observed in great amount.
