 #8-Divide Lake (28) BillyGoat
(4711) | My last photo dealt with some scenery we saw heading down from Glissade Pass. Our destination that day though was Divide Lake, which is the second most popular place to camp within the Tombstone range (Grizzly Lake remains the most popular).
Divide Lake is the source of the North Klondike River, which flows east from this lake down into the Klondike River itself. Center right of this photo just beyond the lake is Tombstone Pass, where beyond it lies Talus Lake (another lake I'll be covering in the near future) and the headwaters of the Tombstone River.
This particular shot of Divide Lake was actually taken on our last day in the park when we were about to head out, but it's my favorite shot I got of the lake, so I posted it now instead.
I think I'll post one or two more shots of this beautiful lake sometime soon.
These kinds of shots really make me wish I remembered my polarizing filter.
