This is my Nut (30) Robbrown
(6062) | A new image, managed to get out on Sunday, it was a really bright clear day, actually I was out trying to improve on a previous non naturare shot The Living & the Dead that is on TE, but I needed a better one for a Tree/Trees photo comp on tuesday so it was off to the the General Cemetry which is less than 5mins walk from the very centre of Nottingham city, to try and improve it.As I got out of the car I noticed a pair of Grey Squirrels (Sciurus caroliniensis)playing Kiss Chase on a Lombardy Popular (Populus nigra `Italica`) that's the one with very upright branches. One of them had a Beech Tree seed in it's mouth and the other was following it up and down the trunk, they froze long enough as I got out of the car for me to get 5 images, these are the only squirrel one's I have to date normally they are ether too far away or too dark, but it was the sort of day when it was possible for the cammera to run off the top of the possible settings and for some shots had to put a polarising lens to cut down the light, to bring it back within the possible settings.
For more details of this IMPORT from across the water, now officially classified as a pest in the UK if , I believe of you capture one alive you are not allowed to release them back to freedom, you must ether keep them caged or end their little lives. For more details of the way the live have a look at this web-site which seems to cover most things about these Tree Rats another name they are called because of the forestry damge they cause.

| I cropped a bit, adjusted the levels, increased saturation, and used unsharp mask to change the look of the photo. Hope you like it and don't mind me practicing with your photo. |
