-------------------------------------
This medium-sized owl (wingspan: 1m) lives in marshes where there are bushes, wet prairies and peat-bogs.
It is a migratory species in Northern Europe, but sedentary more south in Europe. Some are living in North Africa.
Partially diurnal, it lives on small rodents, mainly voles. Nests on the ground.
They have two egrets on the top of the head, hardly visible when at rest, but raised like two ears when in alert. Females and males are very similar.

This shot was taken at "Le Bois des Aigles" in Normandy.

Levels, Contrast & Sharpening
Edited by:PhilC Silver Star Critiquer/Silver Workshop Editor/Gold Note Writer [C: 23 W: 21 N: 78] (367)

Hi Jean, I have tried to give the bird a little more definition and brighten her up a bit. The levels have been adjusted slightly, I have added to the brightness and contrast and made a pass with a sharpening filter.I think it makes the bird a little more prominent in the photo and gives more definition to the facial mask, what do you think?

Regards Phil.
