 American Bittern (11) sergegagne
(401) | I have been very luck to capture this American Bittern in the wild. The bird was at no more than 3 meters from me, standing still for a long period. The site is a natural wilderness park close to my home in Ile-Bizard (Montreal suburb), Canada. More precisely, I was in the part of the park where there is a large marsh crossed by a long wooden pathway which people use either on foot or on bike.
The photo was taken with a Canon 75-300 mm zoom open at 300 mm, in early afternoon with lots of natural light. No tripod. No post-processing. |

I modified the values of contrast, saturate and brightness and I applied an Unsharp Mask to optimize the clearness.
I hope you like it. |
