I'm very proud of having caught the hummingbirds wings with no motion blur without using a flash. of course the fact that the bird was sitting on the tree branch not moving helped. :)

this hummingbird kept flitting through a tree in my backyard. there's no flowers/seeds on the tree so i don't know what it was up to but when it perched itself on this branch i had a chance to get this shot. thanks be to God it turned out.

if you leave a note please let me know what your monitor resolution settings are. i use 1600x1400 pixels at about 100dpi. i've discovered that pics that look great on my monitor look over sharpened and noisy on monitors set to say 1024x760. so if i can find out what resolution most folks set their monitors to i can upload better looking pictures. thanks!

Tom,
I tight cropped it. Sharpened it. Encreased exposure slightly. Kept it at 800 pixels.
Tom, if you DONT like it I shall delete it.
This is, INDEED, a GREAT register of yours. It is NOT easy to get a hummingbird "seated".
Greetings from Mario.

Beautiful shot, Tom!
Just my version: a litle more contrast (with curves), little more sharpness. And little other crop.
