The Three Graces of South Georgia (72)
Jamesp
(16520)
Salisbury Plain in South Georgia is renowned for its massive colony of King Penguins. I had been sitting on a rock outcrop looking down on the colony for some time, when I got the feeling I was being watched. When I turned round I found that these three had wandered up behind me and were watching me intently. However, as I turned, they looked away as if to say 'it wasn't us'!
The point of this is that King Penguins are very inquisitive - if you stand still or sit down, they tend to wander up to you.
