Those are Painted Turtles (Chrysemis picta) sun-bathing. These turtles love to expose themselves to the sunrays. One can often see up to 20 individuals gathered on a piece of wood coming out of water. This species is the only know reptile able to whithstand frost, thanks to sugars (glucose and lactate) present in their muscles and some organs, such as the liver, the brain and the heart. The Painted Turtle can live up to 40 years.

Serge, this is what I did:

1) Clone Stamp Tool to avoid the little overexposure on the turtle that is on the top. I also used this tool on the background of the left;

2) Sharpness with Intellisharpen II.

I hope you like it.

Best regards.
