Magpie in the Mud (6)

Today I offer up Magpie in the Mud.This so far has been the only time I have ever seen a magpie walking through mud in our local bird sanctuary and as you can see this bird is being careful not to get its long tail feathers wet.Mucky tail feathers could prove to be fatal if the bird couldn't fly away in the event of a predator attack. It was far enough away from me that I did not see just what it was eating but it sure was getting plenty to eat.The colour of this shot is true even though it looks over saturated. The photo was cropped and resized using Paint.Net. I hope you don't mind dirty pictures. Bob

I thought I would offer an alternative PoV...
Yes, I did tilt the photo, on purpose,
to create an illusion in the water.
Zoomed too, and played with light.
