(10217) [2009-11-02 08:39:07] | Sulztaler Alm, near Gries im Sulztal, on alpine meadows at 1950m above sealevel. The Mountain Clouded Yellow (C. phicomone) just moved to the rock and sat down to have some protection from the wind, and to warm up on the rock heated up by the sun.
The camera: SONY DSC-HX1, 3456 x 2592 pixel, sRGB, 5mm zoom (equivalent 28 mm at full size SLR), F/8, 1/320 sec., ISO-125, bias -0.3, hand held, no flash. 05.07.2009, 14:32.

(10217) [2009-11-02 05:30:57] [3] | Impressing documentation of this giant moth with fine details all over. The reflections of white wall are likely to cause underexposure of all the dark parts. Those parts - in this case covering the whole hawkmoth - may be brought out by some little postwork:

- fill flash tool: +9
or by a combination of
- slightly increasing brightness and
- slightly reducing contrast.
