Yet another superb photo Suzi. Wonderful colours and composition. The details of the feathers are gorgeous, and I love the way this little hummer is nestling in the lichen.

Hugs, Amelia

Hello Bob,

I just love the curves here. Beautiful composition, and colour. It is a very graphic image, and so very pleasing to look at :)

Warm wishes, Amelia

For a thistle flower, this is very sparse Gert; but the sharp details are superb. It is definitely saying, "Don't touch!"

As far as I know, I have never found this specie. It is listed in my UK flower book as 'rare', only found in the south of England. So I don't think I'll find it in Norway!
I will be offline again for another week, so no new postings or critiques, but I'll be back.

Good afternoon Ulla,
A lovely photo of this little skipper. Excellent details, and natural colours. Sometimes dull and still days are perfect for getting photos like this. It is good that you have seen this species, as you say it is declining in Scandinavia. I don't think I have seen it all.

Warm greetings, Amelia

Hello Melania,
This is a marvellous photo - absolutely superb details, particularly round the head. Excellent focus and BG.

Hello Markus, this is so artistic in every way. Beautiful earthy colours, and a wonderful abstract quality to this photo. I admire it very much indeed.

Greetings, Amelia

So you found the Grass o Parnassus, a red-listed flower, in The Netherlands, Gert? Congratulations for this lovely example of one of the most beautiful of wild flowers. I will always open photos of wild flowers, and I see that you have many critiques already! Hardly surprising. It shows up so well against the dark background.

Hello there Suzi from Oregon,

As always, beautiful work! Lovely sharp focus, and so colourful. He looks as if he has been dipping right into the flower/flour :)

Warm greetings, Amelia

Good morning Roberto,
What a monster! I have to tell you that I don't like spiders very much, although they are OK outside. I have been inspired by photos like this on TE, and have actually felt brave enough to get quite close :)

Lovely detail, and beautiful markings on the abdomen. I enjoyed reading your notes too. The male leads a precarious life.
I don't think that these spiders have reached our part of the UK ... yet!

Warm greetings, Amelia

Good morning Anna,

Majestic is the word that comes to mind here! Wonderful notes, and such an exciting capture. The title too describes this scene so perfectly; the elephant is so imposing, and the impala are so delicate. It is lovely to see them side by side. You are very lucky to live in such a country!

Warm greetings, Amelia
