Despite the harsh lighting you managed to capture this beautiful Canvasback very well. I really like the facial detail which gives us a great look at it's pretty red eye and unique plumage. I have only seen these large diving ducks from a distance, you were fortunate to capture such a close-up shot of this beauty.
Great photo Manyee, the otter looks as if it's lying back with its arms folded. Comical, cute and sharp.
Thanks for sharing this lovely pic of this duck. You captured the duck with perfect focus with sharp details & natural colors.
love the sanderlings and your capture of them on this dark beach and snowy surf!

When i was a child had my net and FINALLY caught one of these beauties in Connecticut!! Kept it in my bedroom, named him and he was my pet. LOL My mom finally encouraged me to let him go and be free. I cried when i let him go...and tear up now just thinking about this. LOL so wonderful to see your capture up close bringing such a personal memory reflection!!
LOVE all the colors!!!! Can't wait to be able to do the same SOON! (saving for a new camera) hehe
i never thought a snake could be beautiful..wow
Hello Manyee! I haven't posted anything on Treknature in a while, but was looking for photos of Hawaiian flowers, so I can find out the name of a particular one I like. In the process, I came upon this photo of yours. I do know the name of this plant. It is an Indonesian wax ginger plant. There are a lot of them in Hawaii. They get a really unusual looking flower on them. Here is a link so you can see. http://wildlifeofhawaii.com/flowers/1258/tapeinochilos-ananassae-indonesian-wax-ginger/ I live in Guam now, and actually recently bought this plant. I was told that when I plant it in the earth, it will bloom. I still have it in the pot for now.
Just found this site and your Picture of the California quail, I live in southern B.C. Canada and have them visiting my garden
