Hi Ian,

you make me "giggerig" (a Swiss german word for envious or curious) with the picture from the Hill National Park. In photography an object should convey or do something, which trees sometimes don't. But this tree ... Great shot.
Greetings, Dietrich

Hi Ram,
this scarlet beauty has a typical wing posture while sitting. Your picture makes me marvel about the acrobatics of dragonfly flight. We all know that when a dragonflies gets to flying it starts like a rocket. Maybe the first wing movement to backward with the two pairs in synchrony helps to provide a strong lift.
Cheers, Dietrich

Hi Musa,
this is a rare beauty. Judging from the shadows ou caught it in the last rays of sunlight. This gives it a very fine light and diminishes hard contrasts. My congratulations, Musa.
Best regards, Dietrich

Liebe Anne,
Gruss ! Dieter

Hi Luciano,

I am back again, the season for 1/4'000 sec shutter speed has ended, time to see what you guys are doing. You caught surprising species, this Lycaenid with the nice tail. Fortunately we can rely on your extraordinary knowledge of species, even a South African one has no chance to fly under your radar :-) . Thanks for the careful note, too.
Best regards, Dietrich

Hi Biswarup,
it's a truly unusual picture of the White-breasted Kingfisher, for the first time I realise how blue it is! Portraits with a hidden face are a problem, the essential part is not revealed. I understand that this is a snapshot, you had no choice. I appreciated your note very much. Thanks for presenting the shot. Best regards, Dietrich

Hi Deon,
magnificant bird, very good pose. I have never seen this species on TN, thanks for this. It seems that the picture was cropped a little too much, this would explain the lack of sharpness. Or else you had to use a high ISO value to achieve this result. Never mind, it can't be helped . Judging from your other presentations on TN you know your stuff anyway. Have a good day,
Greetings, Dietrich
