LOL. Sorry for laughing i just cant help recognizing myself in your note there. Reminds me of when i went out to shoot my Anemone at TL. I went out with this idea in my head brought a bag full of spray botles and reflectors and, you name it...only i forgott the tripod so i couldn't really do what i had set my mind to hehe. So i was feeling like an idiot ;)
About your photo, well it is great as usual. Sharp, good exposure. I would have loved to see the tail but then we would not see it as close. The detilas of the skin is very nice. i wonder if it is a tiny tiny bit to dark in some parts though. On the other hand, lihtning it may cause some parts to be blown out, like the tip of the nose...better leave it as it is ;)
It looks like a Herring Gull to me, with some sort of fungouse deceise on it's eye. To bad about the overexposure Brigitte. The whites are really washed out. It can be really difficult to take photos of these birds, they are easily over exposed. Next time, you can try and set the exposure value to -1 it will save at least some of the whites for you ;)
Robert this is splendid. What a great macro you have here. Just look at the details on those wings. Teh structure is so well defined. The DoF is perfect and brings out this little critter against the background very ewll. Great job.
He he, i tried to take pictures of an African Wild dog maybe some 4 hours ago, at the zoo of cource ;) Let me just say that with my current lense 18-55 mm, it is completly imposible he he. I will have to go back again later this year, with a 70-300mm lense. Hope to do better then. It is a fine capture and i must say, she poses very well for you. I think i would like to have some more contrast but that is only my personal preference. It is really a good shot.
He he, what a great point of view David. The head almost blends in with the body. Very well seen. It looks very graphic. A really intresting composition for sure. A great and sad note too David
I am speachless Jax. What a capture. It is perfect. Exposure, shrpness, DoF. Just perfect. Don't know what else to say really.
This is my type of shot Yitzhak. A close up of a cactus. I'm kind of facinated by cactuses, the way the survive... even my bad treatment he he ;) Do you know the name of the cactus? I guess Prickly pear is what you call the fruit right, and not the cactus itself hehe. Great shot.
Hey, good to see you here too Yitzhak. It seems a bit chaotic...as trees normally do when looking closely at them. This sure shows here :) The focus seem a bit off but i really like the way you capture the chaos.
As Jaap sad, One needs to read the note to fully apriciate this photo. Without the note the bar seem to be out of place and one finds it distracting. After reading though, your intention is very clear and well shown. I wonder how it would have been if focus was more on the bar rather then on the lion. If the messaged would have been enhanced or if the lion would be to much out of focus...just a though...
Oh, i feel like i am about to be eaten ;) This is one concentrated look. There is something with the eyes though, that bothers me a litle. Something with the colour i think and that i can't see any pattern in the iris...There is some dust and scratches as well but that is minor. An excelent shot as usual Callie.
