Great capture Ori,
This is definitely a Pterostylis but different to the ones I've found here so far. I photographed some a few days ago :)
I wondered when I saw this post if you were still in Israel, then I saw Australia. That makes sense.

Ooh ! These are nice. Are they flat on top or do they have a wee hole ? Excellent shot anyhow.
Good to see you here & posting fungi.
Nearly summer on this side of the world :)
Catch you up on facebook no doubt.
Cheers

Incredible image Paul.
What are all these frogs doing in theat flower.
Do they sit there and wait for insects ?
They've all posed beautifully for you.
Fantastic image.
Thanks for posting this.
Cheers

This is so different to the Robins I've seen in Britain an here in New Zealand. Robins are funny round things. This one does have the shape of a blackbird, as the name Turdus suggests.
The red breast is about the only similarity really.
A great shot of this one feeding though.
Nice work.

Hi Ram,
A great shot of this grasshopper, with great colour and detail.
I guess you had to take this quickly as I see the focus is slightly
better on the rear of the body than on the head.
Its still an excellent image by any standards.
Very nicely captured.

Hi Catherine,
An interesting capture of these 2 in their courtship ritual.
What a shame hunters are shooting all the birds.
Are there no laws to protect the wildlife on Samos, or are they hunting certain species that are allowed ?
It must be frustrating when you are trying to photograph them.
I'd probably get in trouble in a situation like that, for trying to take their guns or something, lol

Hello Ivan,
This is a great image, even though it has stopped singing ;)
Nice & sharp,well exposed,good colour etc
I'm always impressed by your great hand-held bird shots.
We don't have quite so many birds here, but I hope to photograph more of them with the new camera. It has awesome image stabilization technology that allows for much clearer hand held shots at high zoom levels.
All I need to do now is wait for the weather to clear ;)
Great work on this one.
