Hi Steve, we have a very similar looking species here in the UK. Nice composition and you did well on the sharpness and DOF considering you had next to no light to play with. Well done.
Hello Silke, nice composition here with the lovely flowing S-shaped neck. Good details too and the backlighting is good. Personally I would have liekd to use a little fill flash here just to get some light on the shadows. Well done.
Hello Peter, nice capture of this pair in the same pose I like them against the blue sky. Perhaps a bit of fill flash would have been nice here to get some light underneath the wings. I might also consider cloning out the leaves in the top left. Well done.
Hello Janice, this is a cutie. Nice shot of the fluffy ball. The weed around it's head is a very good touch of interest. Well done on this one.
Delightful shot of this Sooty Copper I really like the splash of colour from the flowers. The composition works well with the butterfly having some room to fly into. I don't think you used an Fstop smaller than you should have, I think you could have gone smaller to F16 for such a small butterfly, maybe gone to ISO400 and kept your 1/200 shutter speed in the process. Anyway, without all that it's a nice shot, very well done.
Hello Mike, nice shot. I really like the huge cloud atop of that peak. The light is good here and has given some good colours on the rocky slopes. I may be tempted to crop a little from thee left hand side - the dark triangle from the unseen peak doesn't add anything here. It is a good shot as it is though. Well done.
Hello Michal, great title! Very nice photo, good details and composition and a good clean BG. The action is interesting too! Well done for catching this moment so well!
Hi Joe, I really like this one. The colours are very intense and the shallow DOF works here because the eyes are in focus (I personally would like a little more DOF to get the head in). I think it looks quite menacing like this and the contrast of the vivid green and red really makes it pop. Well done.
Aren't they lovely! Like little balls of fluff. I like the shot, the reflections of the sky in the water give a nice colour and the group of cygnets are great!
Casey Stoner? Happy about it? I think he did great but I wanted Valentino.
HI Claude, this is nice. Well done for getting the snipe, I think they are reat looking birds. I have two suggestions here; you could clone out the grass stalk that is directly behind the bird and getting a lower POV would be nice too - to get on the eye level with the bird. The rest, exposure, composition and focus are fine! Well done.
