Thsi is a beauty Callie. Those brown eyes are lovely, very conentrated. I find myself staring at them, admiring them. The soft earthy colours helsp to bring them out too.
Those birds are really so cute Callie. The way they stand to wide aparta with there legs just make them so charming. I think this one is a bit softer then your photos usualy are. It looks more like a bit of motion blur to me, rather then a soft focus. I could be wrong of course :). Anyway, it is a lovely bird and a fine shot, but i know you can do even better.
Lovely sweet litel cub Gerhard. He looks very cuddley :) I think you caughet him very well with the light shining on his face and with the paw sticking out like that. I was wondering a bit about the fur, i noticed you had been using some noise removal software (then red your note and had it confirmed ;)). I think you are right in what you say in your reply to Robert, that it is due to the post process. I decided to try and get back some details and structure to the fur in a WS. I hope you liek it.
WOW. I had a look at both your posts and read both your notes. I had no idea...well, i sort of knew that wasp did not only feed on nectar but still, haden't really pictured them as hunters. Your right, it may not be a technically perfect picture but for sure one of the more intresting once, especially with your notes. I hope you find that equipment you need so you can give us a closer look.
He he, this sure is a flash back to my South Africa trip a couple of years ago. We saw some very VERY curious Wild dogs at a reserve there. So curious that they came up to the car and we had to roll up the window really fast he he. Gosh i wish i had had a better camera then, it would have made a funny picture.
About the photo, it is well taken i think. It is just a pitty that there are some over exposed areas, i guess that comes from the fill flash. I haven't tried using that myself yet. The expresion in his eyes are nice only he seem to be looking out of the frame, which makes my own eyes want to wonder off the frame as well. I think a litle bit more space to the right would have been good.
Very well done Japie.
Oh, i just love it when you have a photo like this...the one you have been chasing...finaly you get it. I know the feeling, when i got my first flying seagull, my first sparrow, my first potrait of a horse even. The first is always special ;) You must have looked pretty funny chasing after this litel guy, bet he was fast on his feet he he.
You did great. Amazing how they blend in to the rocks. He's really cute. Good sharpness. I guess a potrit shot would have been nice too...Next challange ;)
Absolutly perfect Callie. He is gorgeous. You do this so well.
Vincent, again a wonderfull photo from you. The clarity of the colours are astonishing. Such a vivd orange colour. At first i though i might have wantd more DoF, but i changed my mind. In this way we focus much more on the head and face rather then on the whole wasp. What aparture did you use?
LOL, Love your note...Hm...nice to me you..."maybe cousin to Marco" ;) Love the way you get inspired by the lite things, like a frog :)
I think i might have cropped a litle bit to the left side. Part from the, i really like it. Especially the colours.
A Splendid shot Cecile. You caught it at the right moment for sure. You could try and add some more contrast to it though, since the colours blend together even more towards the flower. Don't get me wrong though, i really like how the colours blend. It makes it very rest full for the eye to look at.
