This picture is a great example of how POV can really make a shot. I love how the trees just look so towering... like they're shooting into the sky like rockets. And at the same time, you have the icicles pointing down, falling down, reaching down. Great shot!

I've never been to Alaska. I agree with Niek that the rotation is off, but other than that the image is perfect. Beautiful colors, nice exposure, and a beautiful arragement of subjects (sky, ground, trees, etc). Nice!

I see more of those aspen trees! Very beautiful picture. The trail looks worn and loved. I love the wild flowers on the sides... it makes the trail look more inviting and cozy than my own home. I wish I was there! I really like how there is a very bright spot of sunlight at the end of the trail.. it's light at the end of the tunnel!

I love trees with this type of pale-white bark. They look especially beautiful in the fall, when the leaves turn dark. The trees are beautiful in this picture, but what I love most is the green leaves that are scattered around the shot. It sort of adds a natural contrast -- on one side, you have three very rigid and predictable tree trucks, but on the other side you have a spattering of green leaves dancing around the photo. Very nice!

The colors here are fantastic. I've been to Oregon a few times to visit my father, who lives in Eugene. It's so beautiful... must be easy to find good subjects! The reflection in the water is just beautiful, and the lighting is a bit dark which works well for this photo. Nice shot!

These flowers are almost too common as subjects in photography, but I've never seen a shot that is this close in to the flower. Very original, and the colors, focus, and contrast are beautiful. Nice work!

Not a bad shot, but I think a few things could've been improved on. I think the shot should have been cropped tighter -- I think the left side of the photo, as well as the bottom area has a lot of wasted space. I think it would look a lot nicer if the sea gulls took up more of the picture. Other than that, I think the photo is too bright.. on the positive side, I think the overal idea of the picture is beautiful -- seagulls enjoying the warm sand on a beautiful beach on a beautiful day. I also love how there are two different areas of mountains. On the right side, the mountains are fairly close, but on the left side, the mountains are far off in the distance. Overall, good picture!

Nice picture. I think the lake looks like a swimming pool, but I'll take your word for it. :) I wish the POV could be different, because I almost always see ducks from above-- so this angle is a bit too common. The sharpness, focus, and colors of the picture are beautiful, so overall I think this is a good picture.

Nice picture! The focus seems a bit off, especially at the bottom of the picture.. but I realize that could be due to the distortion caused by the glass/acrylic of the aquarium. The lighting, which you had nothing to do with in this shot, is nice... the cropping and DOF are also nice. Beautiful picture. TFS!

This photo is so simple.. I'm actually not sure if I like it or not. I just don't get it... the blades of grass are nice looking, but the "heads" (for which you have titled the picture) are mostly out of focus. I'm curious -- what was your idea behind this shot? What do you like about it? Help me see it from your point of view.
