Hi Annick
Very unusual photo of this somewhat wet looking Coucal. You have even managed to get the droplets of water on the tree. It is seldom that a Coucal will pose like this, they are usually scrambling amongst the bushes.Superb photo.

Hi Paul
The detail and lighting is superb. A really good photo. Glad you decided to change the country as I was worried that I had missed this bird in South Africa.

The sharpness and clarity are unbelievably good. I can almost touch the subject it seems so real.

Hi Annick
Very beautiful portrait with superb detail as always. The bird is definitely the African Mourning Dove and not the Red-eyed dove. I have confirmed this with my Roberts and Newmans bird books - the main difference is the yellow Iris.

Hi Steve.
Photos of lion cubs are always winners. This is a particularly nice photo with good sharpness and very true-to-life colour.

This is a really good photo but has been spoilt a little by the lack of focus although Janhendrik has shown that the soft effect caused by this ou-of-focus can be enhanced. Subhayan is also correct in that you could have cropped a lot of the area to the right so that the bird is in the right-hand third of the picture.
