I've not done a re-post but there is a special procedure for it. It must be in the rules somewhere. This brightened up version is much better. I like the action.

Hi Penny,
this is a fine looking capture of this spider. There is not much contrast as it and the cement are almost the same colour which really helps the spider stay safe from those creatures who would eat it.Many people are not fond of spiders but I like them very much as they eat often harmful insects that I find to be less than pleasant.Sometimes I will have a spider visit my home and if it is in a quite corner,I leave it be as it will catch and kill bugs of all sorts that I care not for, inside my home that is.I believe in the big picture, all life here is important and as such should be understood as best as we can.

Spiders like most living things most certainly feel hot and cold, however the heat from your driveway would not bother it any as they are cold blooded and the heat helps to make them active as it does for reptiles and fishes. This spider looks somewhat like a wolf spider but don't quote me on that. Thanks for sharing this 8 legged friend who helps keep the insect population in check. Bob

Hi Penny, A very fine photo of this magnificent bird. Maybe it could do with one point of extra sharpening so more details are visible in the feathers. The blue skies as backdrop is the best possible. TFS. Murray.
PS I might try a WS and add sharpness using photofiltre

This is a truly incredible macro shot Penny! What remarkable detail you got! I think the focus being blurred in the foreground and background really helps draw you into the spider. I also love the directionality of the spider's shadow. This is a truly remarkable photo!

Hello Penny,
Beautiful capture of this rare bird with excellent backlight display over the wings & dull background where it standsout so well. TFS.

Hi Penny,
This is a very impressive image of this unknown spider and I like your chosen POV to portray it. Very neat and sharp image with perfect lighting and focus. Seems like well camouflaged too. Very nice composition. Thanks for sharing.
