I have seen and photographed many white and black storks, but did not even
suspect the existence of such beauty. Please give some info about this bird!
Nice shot, congratulations, and from a rather close distance - your lens is not very long. I do not think it is limosa limosa either - I have one among my photos - it looks a bit different to me... (this is the direct link: http://www.treknature.com/viewphotos.php?l=3&p=103546). Consider as well Short-billed Dowitcher (Limnodromus griseus).
Hi Theologos, picture is nice, but this is not White, but Dalmatian pelican (Pelecanus crispus). You can see white pelicans among my pictures and shall see the difference. Apart from this, Kerkini is a very beautiful place, I go there every
How did the heron react to the flash?
Yes, I think it is a young cormorant.
Maybe it will be interesting for you to know that I saw such a butterfly here, in Bulgaria, about three weeks ago and managed to take a picture of it. I am going to upload it here tomorrow. Of course, it is alone and not so interesting as your excellent composition. The peculiar thing about this creature is - it has such colours, that at the first glance at the photo you think that there is too much noise in the pictute. Later you realize that everythign is OK :).
The photo is just great, congratulations. I am familiar with this bird - it is very shy and difficult to come close and catch, I have managed once to capture one, but on the ground. How do you like your 30D? :)
Your picture is very nice and I am quite excited to see it, because I have the same equipment. It is very interesting for me to know - at what ISO did you take the shot and did you use the stabilizer and in which position - 1 or 2?
Thank you in advance!
