Hi Silvio,
Nice, clear capture with great sharpness on the butterfly. I also like the shallow depth, fine lights and the great contrast between the dark grey of the wings and the light green of the background. Excellent photo, congratulations!
Kind regards from Ireland, László

Hi Luciano,
Very valuable post, with excellent photo and note, gaining attention on an invasive, introduced species, which caused serious decrease of the indigenous red squirrel population. Unfortunately this species is already widespread in Ireland, where I live, and although not yet recorded / observed in my home country, Hungary, this is expected by zoologists. As per invasivespeciesireland.com, "total eradication is unlikely". Too good example of an incompetent human action of "improving diversity".
Thanks for sharing your beautiful photo and useful note, kind regards from Ireland, László

Hi Lou,
Artistic photo of a rather rare species which is very difficult to identify. Excellent composition, PoV and sharpness. Congratulations again, beautiful shot!
Kind regards, László

Hi Lou,
Fantastic. Both the photo and the finding. For me definitely the most important and educative photo in this year on TN, as I've never heard about this cyphelloid species before. After a quick search on the net I see it belongs to the family Niaceae and the order Agaricales now. I never in my life found cyphelloidas yet, but of course I'm always prepared. :-)
Thanks for sharing and huge congratulations for the photo / identification.
Kind regards from Ireland, László

Hi Francesco,
I may be wrong, but from the flower shape / colors and the location I think your photo shows Pseudobombax argentinum (R. E. Fr.) A. Robyns, a very spectacular and threatened Malvaceae native from Bolivia to South Brazil.

Ciao Luciano,
Your travel to Senegal was really fruitful, you came home with lots of excellent photos, what you didn't want to share with us. :-) This is again a fantastic one, I love the semi-diagonal line the giraffe's body is forming within the frame, sharpness, colors and lights are all very good, plus the texture of the giraffe's skin is very spectacular. I also like the acacia trees in the background, their bark have similar colors as the South American myrtle species Amomyrtus luma, what I often see here in the local arboretum. So, I have more than one reason why I love this photo. :-)
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, László

Hi Lou,
Fantastic shot, awesome details, lights and colors. Background color and blur are also great and adding extra to the image. You're lucky that you found this species - from the genus I always find Dacrymyces stillatus only. Beautiful!
Kind regards from Ireland, László

Hi Luciano,
I enjoy your Senegal photoset very much, full of exotic animals on good images. This one had an interesting pose, probably trying to scrape their neck. I also like the background, simple yet real savanna. Nice photo, thanks for sharing!
Kind regards from Ireland, László

Hi Marius,
Welcome back to the site and I wish you a happy new year, too. Fantastic landscape - although the orange sky makes it a bit surrealistic. Great large version as well. I hope you'll post more often in 2020.
Kind regards from Ireland, László
