Why has this photo gone unnoticed? Lovely pose and colors. I'd like to see the flash lowered a stop or so, perhaps with a bit more ambient light (1/100 sec), but I think this merits a big smiley no less. I don't see one on this page so I'll have to make my own...

I love those lively blue reflections in the barren landscape. Makes me want to see more of them! :) Perhaps a composition that isolates them? Or takes in a few interesting tree bases??
I'm not getting smiley buttons with this image, so I will leave only this comment.
Thanks!

Very colorful! Too colorful? I thought so from the thumbnail but now I'm not sure... Perhaps a tighter crop so that the bird pops out from this very exciting background?
I didn't get the smiley face buttons on this page. (?)

Hebat Royanto bisa tangkap lebah cepat begini! Posisi sangat menarik juga. Aku lihat foto ini lebih menarik daripada aku pikir dari thumbnail... jadi aku coba workshop!

Wow! Gorgeous! Great color, compo, DOF. And what EYES! It's a favorite!!

How brave of you! I love beautiful portraits of "ugly" creatures. :) Can you stop down (f8?) and make it easier on yourself to get the eyes in focus? That said, I like the softness of the flower. Oft-swatted flies are hard targets for such a short DOF tho...

Wow! Clearwing on a bright clear day. I like this even better than your last shot, which I liked a lot. Great lighting! I find the composition unusual. On the other hand, lots of clean blue space on the left opens up nice options for text layouts. Looking forward to more...

Oooh--exciting and different! It's rare we get to see an "over-the-shoulder" shot--have we been overprogrammed to not shoot creatures moving away from us? This feels like a grittier, more photojournalistic approach. But at the same time uniquely artistic. I love the spotlight effect, the "cool shadows and warm glow" and the off-kilter composition.
Great frame too!!

Great depth and drama! The light on the water draws you right in--perhaps the best three dimensional effect I've seen in a photograph.
Hi Tanja,
Interesting behavior, I agree. But I think the "problem" here is that the spider has chosen such a well-obscured ambush site that she's hard for us to see. And even once we see her, we can't see her eating, which leaves us feeling unresolved. Looks like a challenging setting, with little hope for improving the angle...
