superb Nick the 7D really is an outstanding camera if only I had the cash for one!
The feather detail is incredible.
This is one of the best kite pics i've seen for a while. I'm guessing you had snow on the ground? The underside of the kite seems to be well lit something snow does very well as it reflects the light back up onto the underside?
Great sharpness especially around the birds head.
one of the most interesting of all British tits, very active little buggers and difficult to photograph well. You have managed to ge a nice image only nit pic is the eye is slightly out of focus.
Very nice effort
very nice Nick
unusual angle for the bird to be looking I like this one alot. Good feather detail on the right hand side but unfortunately somewhat soft down the left
dont know what else to write !
you are a very lucky man to have these in your area, we do have these wild in the UK but only very rare and way up North in the Scotish islands.
My favourite bird of prey, absolutley stunning.
Many thanks for sharing with us.
P.S. Happy New Year to all on TN
one of the best stonechat pics i've seen for a while brilliantly taken with a superb background.
Stunning colours and great compostition, personally I would've removed the tiny bit of twig from the bottom left corner as it distracts from the bird.
lovely colours, great back ground and nice sharpness my only negative is the grass above the birds head.
Very well taken
i've seen these many times in british aviculture they are a popular cagebird over here.
Great details with nice sharpness and a nice overall look, its amazing how it can hang on a branch like that!
One of my favourite subjects Nick and you've caught it so well.
Love the natural perch, great composition, nice colours and near perfect exposure. You've done a fab job of the focusing managing to get bang on the eye is not so easy with little active birds like this one.
Very slow shutter speed - 1/60th ??? You've been very lucky to gte such good results even with a tripod!
