Hi Luciano,
Sorry for my late reaction. First of all thank you very much for your dedication, however, the most important thing at this moment is fighting against the virus, because the world, and especially Italy, is in trouble now. But I truly hope rather sooner than later, this crisis will be over and you, we, everyone can leave their houses and can enjoy life itself - although an economic crisis is coming as well, very unfortunately. Anyway, we still be alive... Interesting photo, nice spring image. May it be a sign of the order after the chaos. God save Italy, god save humanity.
Kindest regards from Irelnd, László

Hi Luciano,
It's good to know you're more or less fine in the current horrifying situation in Italy, and I wish you can walk to the nature again quite soon, to take as magic photos as this one. Perfect compo, sharpness and color saturation. Cheers!

Hi Lou,
Beautiful and interesting ascomycetes in your gallery again. The shot is nice and sharp, I'd crop a bit more from both sides, though. Thanks for contributing to my theme Ascomycetes 2. (I added the photo).

Hi Alexandr,
Nice shot overall, but I'd crop more from left to off-center the composition. The imaage could be a bit sharper also, especially the plumage - did you re-sharpen the pic after re-sizing?

Hi Lou,
3 fantastic macro shots, I've never seen such good photos of the teleomorph stage of this species, with so many tack sharp details. Hats off for you! Let me add your photo to my theme Ascomycetes 2. (as this species is an ascomycota).

Hi Lou,
Very interesting tremelloid basidiomycota, not known to me previously. Index Fungorum lists Platygloea disciformis (Fr.) Neuhoff as the current scientific name. Beautiful presentation with 3 great photos.

Hi Biswarup,
Beautiful photo. Excellent timing and shutter speed to clearly capture the pose, everything is sharp on the plumage. Great exposure and colors as well. Probably the bird is a bit too small in the frame - otherwise an exceptional image, congratulations!

Hi Luciano,
I've had no doubt you'll be the first here with a recent butterfly shot in this year again, and your model will be the common brimstone. Very smart composition, the wings perfectly hide the sun, so major overexposure isn't visible, great usage of backlight. Nice textures on the wings as well. Excellent shot, congratulations!

Hi Lou,
So tiny, but so beautiful! I find cyphelloid fungi extremely attractive. Great photo, congratulations! I know most cyphelloidas cannot be identified without microscope, so just a hint: probably your photo shows Merismodes connivens (P. Karst.) Knudsen? At least the macroscopic features and the fruiting time correspond.

Hi Luciano,
Wonderful portrait of the big "doggy". Good composition, it doesn't seem incomplete to the viewer at all, even though the legs aren't in the frame. Congratulation for the great photo. And I also understand your surprise about the size: I felt exactly the same when I found this species - much larger than I ever expected.

Great, great, great! Absolute beautiful jackal portrait with, in spite of the big distance, excellent sharpness. Grass blades and the flowers are framing the "doggy" well. Nice pose from them, excellent timing from you. Brilliant image!

Hi Francesco,
I love stone pines due to their shapes. Probably a little more zoom would make the composition more effective, with bigger trees and a little bit less of the greenery at the bottom, however, the "brothers" are spectacular in this size, too. I like how they are rising from the environment, and the rock wall makes the whole even more interesting. Great Mediterranean landscape.

Hi Silvio,
Flower became overexposed a bit, but the peacock butterfly is lovely, just the right exposure and colors. Tack sharp as well, with great shallow depth of field. Although usually I don't like overexposed parts on photos, it works now well as the contrast with the butterfly is great and its size isn't too big. Lovely image.

Hi Luciano,
White legs or not, this is the same invasive species, an alien pest... Anyway, both photos (including the WS) are good, probably the latter one is more spectacular due to the squirrel's pose (albeit the image looks overcropped), while on this one the curve of the tail's looking lovely. Well composed, interesting photo - although not such extraordinary IMHO as your previous post.

Fantastic shot, the way you blurred the background, while the butterfly and the flower are tack sharp, is exceptional. Unbelievable image, hats off!
