This flea beetle is Megistops sp. (Alticini, Dibolina), most probably M. vandepolli Duvivier, 1889, with both adults and immatures recently recorded on Buddleja in the State of Santa Catarina (Linzmeier et al., 2007: Zootaxa, 1615:55-68). |

The name is Mittonia hampsoni (Distant, 1897) (Pyralidae, Pyralinae). It was initially described in the genus Macna (Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist. 20: 17) but later assigned to his new genus Mittonia by Whalley (1964, Journal of the East Africa Natural History Society 24 (5 (109)): 47-52) |

a nice capture achieved by you but obviously not for the fly.
It's incredibly sharp with great depth of field. Fly and spider as well
as the parts of the flower are presented with superb sharpness.

Sulawesi where I found it at waysides but not within the forest.

I did not know that E. balteatus occurs also in India as it is very common in my
garden here in Germany. Point of view is very special and nice. Focus and sharpness gradient are well select.
Together with the colours this results in a well-composed picture.

despite f/5.0 all structures of the nicely coloured butterfly are very sharp
as the focus and viewing angle are optimally selected.
Background is sufficiently blurred.
