AnimalExplorer (1997) [2014-07-06 18:56] Super cool capture Anna! Nile monitors are amongst my favorites in the reptile kingdom. You snapped a wonderful portrait that shows the beautiful markings on this giant of the Nile. :)
AnimalExplorer (1997) [2014-07-06 18:52] Hola Amigo, lovely capture! I didn't even know that you had left until I went and saw your previous image. It is truly a loss for this site. I left for a couple of reasons but every now and then I pop back in to view some of the incredible images and adventures people have been posting. I am a visual person so it's mostly about just viewing what other people see through their cameras. I have enjoyed your digital images from the beginning so keep posting even though it is every now and then. Cheers! Paul :)
AnimalExplorer (1997) [2014-07-04 9:31] Wow! I love photos that show these birds opening all their feathers. The beautiful symmetry and the detail as such a nice appeal. Well done on this freeze frame capture.
AnimalExplorer (1997) [2014-07-04 9:28] Very nice detail appears in the plumage of this beautiful flycatcher. The exposure actually worked out pretty good, I always say to myself the subject is more important so I work with that in mind first then I start thinking about the surroundings second. The contrast in this makes it a difficult shot with the subject having darker registers versus the lighter registers on the rock. You done did good. :)
AnimalExplorer (1997) [2014-07-04 9:08] Extremely nice detail close-up of the ants. Your camera produced sharp images of each individual with great results. I need to get another compact camera with built in everything, they seem to be getting better all the time. well done Jose.
AnimalExplorer (1997) [2014-07-04 8:59] Love these conures! A really nice capture Peter. I need to spend a little bit more time in Brazil compared to last time. It has many wonderful animals I would like to photograph. Well done. :)
AnimalExplorer (1997) [2014-07-04 8:51] This is not only a nice exposure but a real exciting image with both the subject and the natural thorny stage it sits upon. The wings of the butterfly look similar to lettuce. The lighting is nicely balanced. Well done. :)
AnimalExplorer (1997) [2014-07-04 8:46] Nice side profile of the pale-billed aracari, another of the toucan species I'm looking forward to photographing one day soon. Was this under a dense forest canopy? I'm going to guess that it is and that is why you used flash.
AnimalExplorer (1997) [2014-07-04 8:42] I like how this guy is poking its head out of the water. You managed to get a nice clear shot. Well done. I saw a few of these while in Africa but never really got good opportunity to get really good shots. I find it interesting how you can find both hippos and crocs living together in the same communities although when push comes to shove the hippos seem dominate at least with the adults. Well done.
AnimalExplorer (1997) [2014-07-04 8:37] Great shot of the capybara Peter! I have pictures of these but everywhere I went they seemed to be very camera shy so I have not yet been able to get them out in the open like yours yet. I'll just have to keep on trying.
AnimalExplorer (1997) [2014-07-02 22:39] Nice image of your squirrel. Always a tough challenge to get the full close-up body and tail in the image when they are traveling horizontal through the picture frame. You got a very good exposure throughout the pelage of the subject. Well done. :)
