Si vous fondez comme neige au soleil devant ses yeux énormes, ses grandes oreilles et sa longue queue, sachez que ce n'est pas un hasard si le Galago revêt une apparence aussi attendrissante. Essentiellement nocturne ; l'exception confirme la règle, cette animal vit dans les arbres et se nourrit de fruit, de certaines sèves et d'insectes, d'où la nécessité pour lui de posséder des sens très développés pour survivre. Celui d'Afrique du Sud accuse une taille plus modeste que son cousin à queue épaisse présent surtout dans le Zimbabwe oriental. Bien qu'il soit courant dans certaines régions, on a parfois du mal à l'observer. Cependant, il manifeste parfois sa présence en bondissant la nuit sur le toit des véhicules ou des rondavels. Sa taille est sembable à celle d'un Ecureuil. J'ai eu la chance de l'observer et de le photographier car celui-ci trouvé sans sa mère a été adopté tout petit par des gérants d'un camp-site où nous étions. Magique......

Excellent! Cute factor is very high in this post. Exposure is perfect, details are sharp and composition is excellent. You don't see these critters too often on TN. All you need is a note. Well done & TFS!

What a stare! Excellent detail, wonderful colours.
Beautiful glossy eyes. Textures of soft fur and contrast to the rough bark comes out well.
