This guy was hanging out on the river bank of the Chobe. Apparently when they are hot, they open their mouths like this to cool down.

Hello Robert,
Impressive shot of this crocodile with mouth wide open. You are probably right about why they open their mouths like this, but with my luck it would just be hungry:)
Nicely presented in an attractive close-up composition while showing excellent detail. Colors are well saturated and natural in appearance.
