[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
We observed the lions at water, when suddenly we saw a troop d'elephant running in direction of the water.

The elephants charged, in order to move the away from the water. The lions moved of a few meters and it is again laid down, except one which looked at the elephants with interest.

Did it have a problem of sight? was it very optimistic? the question remains open.

Perhaps the lion knows that it is too dificult to hunt such a big animal, worst when they are many and he is just one. Very nice colours. Was it dusk or dawn?

;)))) LOL...wonderful work Christian! Love how your perspective really loans a great dimension to your title ;)) Very well done!

This is about as good as it gets, a lovely sky, old big foot and an alert cat. This is SO typical, SO beautiful, thanks for sharing.

I'm sure the lion counted the elephant and was calculating how much backup he was going to need. Very nice moment and composition.

Very good.
Great composition and moment, and nice colors.
Very well done

I do like this picture very very much, it captures the whole sociology of the environment and your note provides just enough information to let us know what is going on without feeling as if a dictionary has been dropped on our foot.

For the lion I guess it is a point of pride...if they are king of the jungle, then why have they been forced away from the water? i guess a bit of psychological pressure on the elephants helps to restore lost ego.

Superbe composition, j'aime beaucoup ce face Ó face. Les couleurs sont belles et ša m'a donnÚ envie de faire un workshop.

You've captured a good sociological moment here. The light has some good qualities about it, but I think this made the image a little less clear without using a tripod. I like it though

Ahh, theres nothing like photographing these magnificent animals in there natural habitat Christian. This is a tense moment captured here which make for an interesting photo.

Hi Christian,

To bad that the picture is a little out of focus because otherwise it would have been really good.

Great composition and the colours are magnificent.
