[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a bird I catched over a large river called Kimbi in a place called Kimbi Fauna reserve.

Getting there absolutely requires a four-wheel-drive car even if the place is quite well-known being part of the Ring-road, north-west of Cameroon. The north part of that road is really hard and you don't meet much people : some Bororos people walking along with catles, few locals walking to the market and that's it.

I just don't know the name of that bird. Any idea ?

Hi Steven,
Merops albicollis. Though the bird has the red iris color of the adult, I can still see a hint of yellow on the chin, and the streamers (elongated central rectrices) of the adult are just starting to grow out, so let's say it is subadult.

I like a lot the composition of this poto, carefullly constructed with the climbing branch and the soft and blurred background, thanks to the DOF used.
The bird colors are so good, we can appreciate it with great details.
