[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A Brown-necked Raven and European Bee-eater from Wadi Dome, Ayn Sukhna. Migration time is a feast time for all desert residents. Belong to a desert requires very struggling life time. But if you are only a visitor, just try to skip from this dangerous part of the world, you need to be much more powerful than residents. Migrating through desert sometimes means flying without any water source for 300-400 kilometers! So all weak birds passing not only a desert but also a hard test. Selection makes it choice with best healty and powerful birds. Others become a mouthful food for residents of the desert which is also important for them to see end of the day.

Egypt is an extremely good birding country especially on spring migration.

Emin, the story of the migrating birds passing through Egypt is a touching one, like that of this Bee Eater falling prey to a Corvid.
The picture is technically excellent and shows the details and colours well. The tail of Raven could have remained within the frame.
Regards.
Ram

A good case of being at the right time at the right place (for you, not the bee- eater :-))
Good layout and sharp details make your work a pleasure to view

Therefore I have added your photo to my theme "animals feeding"

thanks for sharing, greetings from South Africa, Ingrid
