Amblyeleotris steinitzi. This goby inhabits expanses of fine sand of clear lagoon and seaward reefs between depths of 6 and 30 meter. It lives in burrows with the shrimps Alpheus djeddenis, A. djiboutensis and A. bellulus.

The shrimp digs and maintain the burrow for itself and the goby while the goby acts like as lookout and warn the shrimp of approaching danger. The shrimp is always in contact with the goby through one of its antennas.

Picture is taken on 11 meters depth at the dive site El Desha. The picture is cropped and resized in Photoshop. I've adjusted the white balance and exposure in Camera Raw.

Nice photo of the interesting fish. Excellent composition, sharpness and colors. TFS.

Hej Peter,
a very nice UV-photo, the light is very nice.
Well composed, good POV and details.
Very well done.

hi peter
photo tres nette,claire.bonne note.

cute little fish in a nice pose, clear image with good contrast. the white color in cheek area is a little bit OE, but you still catch the detail, TFS

Oh, this is so cute. It's those big bulging eyes that you captured so well!

Beautiful shot of this unusual fish, with an interesting note. Very good work on PS to clean up the colorcast/white balance for a very clean, natural looking image.

What a wonderful picture! My son had gobis in his tank. I had shrimp in mine, I never knew they hung around together! prfect photo!

amazing picture, TFS Ori

Hi, Nice capture. How did you take the photo under the water? Did you use special accessory?
