The hardest part was to decide when TN gave the following options to choose from on ,,genre,,: animals, plants or landscape ... Well, hmmmm ... Then it was the medium : color or black & white ... Well, hmmm ... then it was category: mammals, desert, trees, bushveld, savannah or mountain .., well, hmmm ...
I think this is probably the best silhouette I took, rediscovered last week trough my artwork...
A reticulated giraffe grazing at dusk in the grassy highlands of Ethiopia.
This silhouette series was inspired to me by th emotions felt after experiencing a serie of Balinese shadow puppet theatre series, an art known as Wayang in Indonesia.
If you like this one you may find of interest to look at some of my previous ones from the same part of the world, much like a ,,signature,, like my good TN chap Gerhardt was seeing it.

The entire composition is breathtaking! The colours, subject(s) and in particular the silhouetting of the foreground makes this an outstanding shot. Congratulations. TFS

I really love those shots.
Once more well done.

It's very difficult to choose between this one and my personal favourite up till now called: "African Shadow Theatre" I love the unclutterred compo and three levels of light (black, grey and white in "AST") but the dash of colour and the gradient sunset/rise of this adds a nice touch.

Don't make me choose... :)

It's injustice you can make a photo like taht... but int's more injustice you can see taht!!!!! And in Poland winter, frost and gloomy city :-(

Just wonderful photo!

Radu, this is what I was waiting for! Hot Africa, silhouette on the sky, warm colours, like chineese shadow theatre. Great one!

I can well understand you're pleased with this one, it's really beautiful. The silhuette stands out nicely and the colour of the sky is remarkable ;-))

Very nice Radu.
I like the warm colours.

Hi Radu
So is this oone already hanging on the wall of your lounge?
Very nice, I also think this is one of the best in your series, well done.

Superb 2 tones picture Radu. No matter what genre it is. It is a very pleasant to my eyes. Very very good backlighting example.

Landscapes was the right category to put it in. I wish I could find animals like this in Australia. During my recent trip to the Northern Territory I had several nice sunsets like this, but no large animals to act a silhouettes.
As for the others in the series, your composition of subjects is excellent.

I like your photographies, but this in special, has great interest, harmony chromatic and a perfect one and balanced composition

Hi Radu,
What a beautiful shot it really captures feeling.
Well Done ,

Beautiful silhouette Radu. Framed niceley with the tree and landscape. Love the orange light. A winner! TFS Trevor
