The White Rhino, along with the roughly equal-sized Indian Rhino, is the largest species of land mammal after the elephant. As a species, the White Rhino is the least endangered of the living kinds of rhino.

White Rhinoceros: From the Afrikaans word describing its mouth: weit, meaning "wide"; early English settlers in South Africa misinterpreted the "weit" for "white".

Height: 5 - 6 ft (1.5 - 1.8 m) tall at shoulder
Length: 12.5-15 ft (3.8-5m) length of head and body

There are two horns. The front (anterior) horn is larger and measures 37 - 40 in (94 - 102 cm), (northern subspecies), 37 - 79 in (94 - 201 cm) (southern subspecies). The rear (posterior horn is smaller and measures up to 22 in (55 cm) long.

A nice, big white rhino, and the ubiquitous cattle egrets. A typical Keynan landscape too.

All the legs present in this one. This is a beautiful capture which I like a lot. The birds adds a lot of mood and impact to the shot and the the sharpness is great. Thanks for posting

I like this photo very much. The exposure is excellent as I can see detail in the gray color of the Rhino and the white Egrets are not over blown. Good job!

Beautiful atmosphere you did with this one. It looks very moody, great shot.

A very relaxed looking rhino , nice one.
