lake nakuru
this small deer was taking refuge from the sun and flies...but they seemed to have gotten to her.
i have googled this one but could not pin down the species..my bad..i should have written it down when the guide gave me his book..however if any one can identify this deer/antelope with the brown ring round the base of the neck i would be obliged.

Hi Geof, this antelope is a female Bushbuck (Tragelaphus scriptus). The brown ring round the base of the neck is a bit unusual, I cant quite make out if the fur is missing or just damp. If it's missing it may be an old snare wound, but that's just a guess.
